Do you have journaling enabled in Outlook? If you have Outlook installed
(even if you have never used it), journaling (keeping track of each document
opened or closed) for Word and Excel is enabled by default. You can disable
it by opening Outlook and going to Tools | Options | Preferences: Journal
Options.
