Saving WordPerfect 8 Files So they open in WORD 2000

Todd

Does anybody know how to save, or what the extension
should be to save documents I type in WordPerfect 8.0 so I
can open them in WORD 2000 and not have the formatting all
screwed up?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to send
suggestions to my email at (e-mail address removed)

Thanks in advance for the help.

In newer versions of WordPerfect, you can click on File | Save As | File
type: Microsoft Word (.doc) file. I don't remember if WP 8.0 had this
ability. If it doesn't, you can save as a Rich Text Format (.rtf) file,
which Word should be able to open. Depending on the complexity of the WP
file, the .doc or .rtf version might not be an exact replica of the .wpd
version... see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/WordPerfectConverters.htm
for more info.
