scaning major problem-"Kodak Image Scan Control"-

I have been experiencing some problems with an ActiveX
called "Kodak Image Scan Control" .
It doesn't obey my settings.. I want an minimal quality
and no matter what the settings are
the output image has the best quality and it is in
colours. The scanning takes a long time
My scaner needs a maximum amount of time of 25 seconds for
any kind of immage and if I use

that
ActiveX the scanning is performend in at least 2.20
minutes (???!!!??)

Can I program this ActiveX to run properly?
Where can I find an object for scaning to work properly?
Any comments will be greatly appreciated..THANX!

I've only used that control with a digital camera. It was quick enough with
that. The control is a simple one, and I don't think it ever controlled scan
quality. I'm not sure that Kodak even supports it any more. I know that
Microsoft no longer includes it in their products.

You may try one of the other ActiveX scanning controls out there. Most are
inexpensive or free. Many have free trial periods.
