Scanned handwritting help needed

K

In my business, I have been using scanned signatures from my customers
as a way to get their signature on cards I send out for them.

Normally I just get them to sign with ball point pen on white paper in
a color of their choosing, either blue or purple, etc. (by the way,
only first names so no worries of identity theft from my customers)

I'm trying to find a way to save and manipulate this signature in a
couple of ways to make it look more "real" than it does now.

I scan at the highest resolution available (I think 2600 dpi) then save
it in jpg format.

I don't know how to change the color of the writing once saved this
way, and I can't figure out how to get the depth I'd like (color
saturation?)

Do you have any suggestions for me?

Thank you,
Kary

Kary, this is a graphic question, and not a Word question. You should have
them write their names in various color inks and scan them all at once. No,
it would not be simple to change the color once scanned, and you'd def'ly
need a graphic program to do it at all.
