Scanning Hard Copies

Is there a program that makes it possible to scan a
hardcopy of a spreadsheet into excel?

Some (all???) scanners come with OCR (optical character recognition) software.
Some OCR software is good, some is not as good (depending...).

So you may want to repost asking about your specific scanner/software or asking
for recommendations for (expensive, not so expensive, cheap) scanners/software.

(No matter how good, I think I'd double check the numbers and spell check the
text.)

I use 2 different programs, Abby FineReader 7.0 Pro and Scansoft PaperPort
9.0 Deluxe.
Both can process a scanned spreadsheet and save as xls.. Usually when you
buy a
moderately priced scanner you get lite versions of the software.. When I got
my Microtek
4900 I got Abby SprintReader which is the lite version..
