scanning into onenote

Hello. I am using OneNote to organize recipes. I have scanned one recipe and
then had to save to Word, and then copy & paste onto the OneNote page. The
font was too small and too light, but I am unable to change it. Did it save
as a graphic? How can I scan recipes in and then change font size or color?
Thanks for your help.

Tracey,
Fancy you should ask this... I am just writing up the part of the new
OneNote book on scanning...

Scan directly to OneNote 2007 instead of to Word first. You can do this from
OneNote via Insert--. Picture--> From Scanner. The results will come in as a
picture, but that's ok - we will fix that next. Once the scan results are in
OneNote, right click the image and select "Copy text from All Pages" Go to a
blank space on the page and Paste.

You will get the text from the recipe and still have the image as well. Let
us know if this gets you where you are going.

If you are using OneNote 2003, you will need to use Word to get the content
there. If that's the case, post back and we will all see if we can come up
with a solution for you.

Kathy, thank you so much. I am using OneNote 2007 and have been unable to
find information anywhere on scanning into it. I'll try your suggestion.
Somewhere I read that some scanners have OCR (optical character recognition?)
software that can help with this problem but I don't know if that is
available on my HP all-in-one.
Thanks again.

If you are using ON 2007 why don't you use Insert > Pictures > From
Scanner or Camera?

This will create a picture which you can resize (to effectively
increase the font size).

To change the colour you would need to save it as a jpeg and change
that using something like Paint Shop Pro.
