scanpst Vista

Outlook no longer displays any messages, all show as "none". Error message directs me to scanpst.exe at C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.ps t. which doesn't seem to exist on this machine. I searched and located the app in "Office 12" but can't seem to direct it to a folder to search when asked to “Enter the name of the file you want to scan:” – and I can’t browse to Outlook (Or anything close). How can I find my pst file or a back up copy to repair?? I did search C and D (recovery) for *.pst and both returned nothing.

paste this in the filename field after you hit browse:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook

That will open the folder where the psts are.

That file DOES exist or Outlook couldn't use it. AppData is a hidden folder
by default and it's apparent you have not enabled viewing hidden files and
folders. Just enter that path in the address field of scanpst's file open
dialogue. "USERNAME" is, of course, your real Vista username and not the
word "USERNAME" itself.
