Schedule Assessment

Hello everyone,

I need to complete a schedule assessment for an IMS. There are
numerous tasks in the schedule that not completed. I need to complete
an assessment of a go live date if the project were to begin on a new
date, let's say 01/02/09. Things to keep in mind is that, tasks which
are 100% complete don't need to be redone so they need to stay 100%
complete, there are actual dates in the schedule. That's where my
issues comes in, since there are actual dates in the schedule, how can
I complete the assessment as if the schedule started on 01/02/09.
When I copy the project data to a new schedule, some of the dates
reflect the start date of 01/02/09 but many tasks keep their actual
start dates. I would like to keep the durations the same, the
relationships the same but only want to change the start date of the
schedule and determine what the go live would be- which is the end
date. If anyone could please help me with this issue, I would really
appreciate it.

Thank you in advance.

Hello aman,

Ensure that you have updated the tasks that are completed. The
choose Tools > Tracking, Update Project and use the "Reschedule
uncompleted tasks to start after" and your new start date. Any
tasks which are complete are untouched and the tasks which were not
completed are rescheduled to commence on your new start date.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
