Schedule/Cost Risk Analysis for MS Project

R

Rick Williams

I have been doing schedule analysis and schedule risk analysis for over 22
years now. Starting in 1994, I developed a simple Monet Carlo simulation tool
for Project called SCRAM. In a new job, having to live with Risk+ for a
while, I decided that I could do much better, so I developed SCRAM2009. It
adds Monte Carlo simulation, probabilistic branching (decision logic), trend
analysis, and other capabilities to Project.
One of the pitfalls with other products is that you have to select your
reporting tasks and milestones before you run the simulations. If you need to
see the results from another task, you have to re-run the simulations. Not
with SCRAM2009. In addition, SCRAM2009 actually helps you pick reporting
tasks. One very powerful option is the ability to select the task at the end
of every potentially-critical path. I don't think any other product has this
capability.

Have a look at a demonstration:
1) and
(part 2)

If you think that Project should eventually have these capabilities, tell
Microsoft!

Please contact me at (e-mail address removed).

Also I have a free program for anyone who writes me and asks for it. It is a
VBA program what timescales and "zones" the Project network diagram.

Thanks to all,
Rick Williams
