Schedule from finish date question

Hello Experts,

I searched the posts for some info on the "schedule from finish date" option
in MS Project under "Project Information". I find some good posts but i have
another question. when i exercise that option, how does project calculate the
early and late dates. how does the foreward backward pass work in this case.
what are other options i can use that achieve the same results while using
the calcuate from start date option?

Hi,

Forward and backward work the same in both options.
When schedule from start, the Start and Finish foirelds show the early
dates; when scheduling from finish, the late fields.

Hi

I understand from your post that you would like to fix Start as well as
Finish date. Then Fix Start date from Project infomation box and fix the
Finish date through 'Must Finish on' constraint. You should acheive your
objective.
