I want to use a clickable calendar to schedule tasks
rather that have people enter the date in a text box.
They will view the month on a visual representation of
the month and click on the date in question. Then this
day will be entered in the table as a date picked
" May 5,2005" for example.

This is my personal favorite from MVP Stephen Lebans:

You can use the Calendar ActiveX Control that ships with your
Access program. You'll find it under your ActiveX Controls list.
To help you see how this works I suggest you go to Arvin Meyer's
site and download a couple of his sample databases that demonstrate
how to use the calendar.
