How did you "schedule" the overtime hours? Project has a couple of
different settings (i.e. working time and Calendar options) than can
effect how extended task hours are handled. You might want to take a

By going into the resource usage sheet and manually entering the overtime on
the day it will occur.

I'm not sure if Steve's answer helped but as far as assigning overtime
pay, that is done on the Resource Sheet under the heading of Ovt. Rate.
