screen clip error

I can't use the sceen clip to save sidenotes anymore. I get a "unknown error"
message whenever I try. I've used detect and repair to no avail

Is there any more detailed part of the error when it occurs? Does the
error occur after you select the Screen Clipping option? Do you get to the
point where the screen lightens? Does the error occur after you drag to
create the clipping? Is the clipping created but the error appears when
OneNote tries to put the clipping onto a page?
