Screen goes white when opening a form

I have a mainform in Access 2003 that has buttons to open other forms or
reports. Sometimes when I click on a button the whole screen goes white for
awhile then the form opens normally. This just started happening after using
my program for many years. Any ideas why this happens and is it a sign that
there is a problem?

Did Service Pack 3 just get installed? There have been some issues like that
after installing it.

yes, Service Pack 3 has been installed recently. Is there anyway to resolve
the issue?

I'm not 100% sure on this, but go through your tables and make sure you don't
have any formatting set at table level. This MAY solve your problem. If
not, the only suggestion I have is to do a system restore before the SP3 was
installed.
