Screen Temporarily 'Blanking' and Keyboard stops working Help!

Hi

Every ten minutes or so, my screen goes blank, usually when I am in Outlook
2003, I loose all power to the machine - it sort of 'goes to sleep' for 3-5
seconds. I've connected remotely to my PC from home and there isn't a
problem. I've logged on to other PC's at work, it blanks out on some PC's but
not others....
The IT department here thought it was a profile issue so they have
re-created my profile (didn't fix the problem), my desktop hasn't any large
files stored on it ( they thought that was the problem) and now they have
drawn a blank. I think its something to do with the Graphics card but I'm a
non-IT person here and therefor don't know what I am on about :).

Has anyone any ideas that I could suggest to them as its really annoying!

Thanks!!

Sounds more like a hardware issue to me, since you say the screen blanks and
the keyboard doesn't respond. Clearly Outlook cannot have an effect on
power and you said the machine loses power.
