Script Error driving me insane!

Hello everyone,

I consider myself a FrontPage veteran (2003), but this is driving me
nuts. When I view a website in preview mode, I get a bunch of "script
error" messages then and it points to a file in the Temporary Internet
Files folder.

Some history:

I recently bought a new laptop (Windows XP) and installed Front Page
on the laptop. I kept my old laptop intact. My old laptop ran my
websites without any script errors. They all utilize the same
JavaScript based menu system. With my old laptop, I could just go to
"Preview" and everything would work normal.

I copied all my websites to the new laptop using copy/paste. My new
laptop displays the script errors everytime I go to preview mode, then
it does not display the JavaScript menu. Now, here's the weird part:
when I use my NEW laptop to open a website that's physically located
on my OLD laptop (through the network), the Preview works without
issue. I can't understand why this would be. The website is the same.

I hope I'm making sense here.

The only think I can think of is that my new laptop runs IE7 where my
old laptop runs IE6. But what doesn't make sense to me is the fact
that when I open a site (using my new laptop) that's located on the
network drive, I get no script errors. When I open the same site
that's located on the new laptop I get script errors.

Anybody have any insight as to why this might me? I'm going insane
here...

Just to add more to my above statement:

I know that the script errors are telling me that there's supposed to
be something wrong with my script. I understand that concept. What's
bothering me is that I only seem to get the script errors whe I open a
site that's located on the local hard drive. When I open the same
website, on the same computer, though the network, I get no script
errors.

I've tried lowering the security level on IE. I've gone to the
"Advanced" tab and checked the boxes to allow active content to run
from CD's and Files.

I'm out of ideas...

FP preview is not a full browser so you will always get script errors in it
When you File preview In Browser you shouldn't get them if your scripts are valid
- if you do get them in a browser your scripts need correction

The reason you see, or don't see, the error messages in IE is when you set Tools Internet Options Advanced to Display, or not
Display, all script errors
