Scrolling text in Powerpoint

How do I make text scroll across the screen in Powerpoint? I want to create
a karaoke style scrolling text presentation with a bouncing ball. Is this
possible in powerpoint?

For bouncing ball, you can use motion path to achieve this effect. You can
manually draw the path using scribble or curve.
