Scsnned documents for sending out

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC
Email Client: pop

When I scan from my Brother MFC to my G4 IBook Entourage for MAC Email and using osx.4, I keep on getting the message, file to to big to send. More than on e sheet of typing creates this problem. I am not sending pictures just plain letters.

There must be a setting that I need to change but just can't find it. Can you help me?

How many kilobytes or megabytes are the images? There's a good chance this
message is coming from your ISP, not from Entourage.
