I have a table with 3 columns with headers: "Old Acc" "Old type", "New Acc"
and "New Type".

I need to create a simple form that will allow the end user to type in the
old acc # and the old type and by clicking on a search button to see what the
"new acc" and "type" are. What is the code behind the search button? i am
novis in Access and any help will be appreciated.

Use the wizard to build a standard form with the 3 fields on it.

Then, use the wizard to build a search combo box, and place that in the
header...

you are done....

There is not need for you to write code..or anything...use the wizards....
