Search button in Data Access Pages???

hi...

I have developed a contact management system for my office for which i have
created the data access pages ...the filter by selection is not a easy
approach for search so i decided to place a a search button i also found a
sample code for the Search Button in Ms Access Online help but that works for
number only i mean to say for for contact ID only i tried to use different
data types wid search command but it simply wont work ..

Please suggest me the data type to use wid search button so that it can
search for names ....
