Search Feature

Some of the web sites on my server do not seem to work with the search
feature. Others do however. I am using Windows Server 2003 and am using the
indexing service for the search. I am also using 2002 extentions. Any
suggestions?

Have you created a Index Server catalog for each web site via Index Server MMC. If you need help
with Index Server, suggest you post to the Index Server newsgroup.

Hi Thomas:

The index server points to c:/inetpub which should then index all folders
below that. Isnt that correct. My server is set up as follows. The default
website is at inetpub/wwwroot of course. There are subwebs off of that that
catagorize each group of sites i.e. inetpub/wwwroot/1200 and
inetpub/wwwroot/1200de. These are courses I teach by the way. Within each
of these are each individual students sites. The FPext have been extended to
all of those sites.

Making a catalog for each would reuire making 600 of them each semester.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

John

Ok, then I suggest your post to the Index Server newsgroup, but you can check the properties of each
site under IIS MMC, to be sure that you have enabled it to be indexed.
