Search for file in Word 2007

I want to find files created on a certain date but cannot find how this is
done in Word 2007.

Can anyone help, please?

What follows assumes you know the directory where the file is.

Office Button / Open / the Open window should launch / there is a
section called:-

Date modified

Just click on the arrow in that field to sort by date.

A section?
I had to modify the view to show details to see dates -- is this something
else you're talking about?
