''search'' function in explorer locks up when searching for a file

I have to click ''end task'' in task manager when this happns (every
time I try to run a file search)

This is a group about word.vba.

I fail to see the relation between your problem in this group topic.

Maybe you should try in the appropriate Windows group (Vista, XP, 2000, ME,
etc.)
