I have recently "compacted" a database I have been using.
Although the operation was succesful, I can no longer
modify any of the existing records. I am presented with a
message that says that "The search key was not found in
any record". I found an explanantion for this on the
microsoft website, which highlighted a bug in the Jet 4.0
software, and recomended a patch should be uploaded. (See
Knowledge Based Article 301474).
Unfortunatley, the problem still exists after installing
the patch, and I'm now at my getting a little worried that
I've corrupted the whole database.
Can anybody help?
Many thanks
Phil
