Search not finding catalog

Jamie

I recently moved my website created in frontpage to a new windows 2003 server
and ahve tried everything to get the site search.htm page to find the indexed
catalog. I'm using IIS 6.0, and have confirmed that indexing service
extension is runningand the IIS manager and indexing service is "allowed".
I've tried several times to create and then recreate catalogs that the
website should reference and my current catalog is indexed and contains the
data needed, but the site search is not finding it. I do have a site
_vti_script/xxx.idq file and can find information when query the catalog in
the manager, the the searchbot will not find the catalog!!! I've even
tried to edit the the webbot code to use "b-useindexserver'="1" instead of
"0" but the recalc always sets it back to "0" each time!

I've tried to modify the code another way and then it resets the search page
(in the root of the site) to look in the _vti_bin/shtml.dll/xxx.htm which i
know that the shtml.dll parses the search file but the search page didn't
change page paths when the site was on the old server so I'm stumped!

I do have my catalog outside of site but on the server and indexing service
is allowed inthe web service extentions.

Any suggestions??? I've tried going back to windows components installation
and re-installed it as well!
Thanks for any assistance you could give me!
