WHAT I'D LIKE TO DO IS TO HAVE A COLUMNAR FORM WITH A
DATASHEET TABLE WITHIN IT. IN THE MAIN FORM I'D HAVE A
TEXT BOX THAT YOU COULD ENTER A PART NUMBER AND UPON
ENTER IT WOULD FIND MATCHES (SPECIFIC WORK ORDERS) AND
DISPLAY CERTAIN INFO IN THAT DATASHEET. I CAN PUT THE TWO
FORMS INTO ONE FORM BUT I'M HAVING DIFFICULTIES DOING THE
CODE WORK FOR THIS (OR QUERY OR EXPRESSION WORK). I CAN'T
LINK THE PART NUMBER TO THE WORK ORDERS TO DISPLAY ALL
RECORDS.



I KNOW YOU COULD DO A REPORT BUT THIS SEEMS LIKE IT IS
THE EASIEST WAY TO DO THIS BUT IT HAS CERTAIN PITFALLS.
THE MAIN FORM WILL HAVE OTHER FIELDS, LIKE PART DATA,
THAT WOULD MAKE A REPORT A LITTLE HAIRY. I'M LOOKING FOR
A QUICK "LOOKUP" WITHOUT HAVING TO DO A LOT OF
FORMALITIES TO DO THE "LOOKUP". I WANT THE PARTS DATA AND
ORDER HISTORY ON ONE FORM, THEN I CAN EASILY PRINT IT OUT
WITH A print record BUTTON.

shouting? at work out systems are setup so caplocks
desn't work. it fowls up or nework database. it's set up
only for caplocks. my caplocks works at home, which is
where i'm replying from.
i'll take a peek at the site.
