Search & Replace with a graphic

Is there any way in Word 2000 to search (for example) for an asterisk (*) and
then replace it with a graphic image?

Yes. If you copy the graphic to the Clipboard, you can represent the
Clipboard contents in the "Replace with" box by ^c.
