search started searching backwards - oldest to newest, why?

A couple of days ago after i've used Outlook 2007 for nearly 2 years, outlook
has started bringing up search results backwards. Previously it always
searched newest first so if i wrote an email last week and then searched for
the recipient in sent items it would find it in a matter of seconds. Now it
is searching oldest first so i have to wait for it to search through all
emails from nearly 2 years before it brings up the most recent. the view is
still newest on top but because i have thousands of sent messages it takes
about 10 minutes to get there! help, why has this happened?!

No need to post more than once.

While it may not be necessary to post more than once, perhaps he's looking
for an awnser? I am.

Then he should read the replies to his earlier posting, as should you.

Can you not just give an answer to the question. I never understand why people work so damn hard not giving an answer instead of helping.

One reason mroe than anythign else is that you cant click on the usernames in here so cant find other posts easily. so if you know where the answer is why dont you link to it instyead of telling us not to post twice.

#2 this turns up high in google for related searches where the other answer doesnt. so how about cloe the other one down and use this oen to show the answer.

#3 why do you work so hard to amke pointless answers? they help no one and just give you a holier than thou appearance which is embarassing at the least.
