Hi I am trying to search on some cells.
This search will be used over and over again.
We have column a with 1-1000.
I need someone to be able to open the worksheet and enter
a number 1-1000 in a cell and it return the result thats
in column b. Then do the same again with a diffrent
number. I have looked at vlookup but could not get it to
work everytime i enter a number.

VLOOKUP should do the trick, if I got you right . . . lets said in A1 i
what your looking for and in A3 - A1003 is 1-1000 and in B3-B1003 yo
have Items / names / values or what ever your looking for, the formul
below should help you

Place this formula in B1 (this will be your return result cell)
=VLOOKUP(A1,A3:B1003,2, FALSE)

In A1 place a number from 1-1000 and it will return what ever you hav
in B3-B1003.
