I have a Chinese dictionary in Access 2K for the University of Pittsburgh.
There are several definitions for some of the words in the dictionary- where
each one is in a different field in one table. I want to set up a search box
in a form which will search both the fields for definitions. I have created
a search box already and it only searches the first definition, but it also
has a list of definitions. I want to get rid of the list, and be able to
type into a box within the form that will search two fields and return
records as though they had been filtered, where the records would be those
that contain the word typed into the box that are in either the first or
second definition fields (I only want to search the first two definitions).
Also, on occasion, the form will edit the information in the table or query
that is referenced when I create the search box. I want this to go away as
well.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance...
