Searching for phone numbers?

Using OL 2002 --- Trying to determine who belongs to a phone number:
When using Advanced Search, it will not function if more than one phone
number is in "the list." Just as bad, when I have a number but don't know
who it belongs to, I have to perform a separate search for every one of the
13 possible number types -- Business 1, Business 2, Home 1, Home 2, etc. Is
it me, or is the search function of this app crippled beyond reason?

Scot,

It's you ;<)

That is, you're looking for something too complicated, when there's a simple
answer.

Select Advanced Find for your Contacts folder, type in the phone number, and
then select "phone number fields only" from the "In:" drop-down list
(immediately below the "Search for the word(s):" field). This will find a
phone number in ANY of the phone number fields.

True, but when using the "Advanced" tab under the "Advanced Find" option, is
there a way to have it search for more than one phone number at a time? The
option allows you to choose "a field," containing" a specified "value," then
"add it to the list." Intuitively, it's telling you that you can "add"
additional items to the "list." The problem is that a "list," implying more
than one, kills the whole search, meaning that the search will not return
any information.

When I "add" two known phone numbers to the "list," the search returns
nothing. But if I add each phone number separately to the list, the return
is successful. What am I missing here? One item alone is not a list. Why
am I not able to "add to list" successfully as it says?
