Is there a way to search mdb files for query names from Windows Explorer?

"...mdb files..." are Access databases/applications, and are self-contained.
I'm not familiar with a way to use Windows Explorer to "look inside" Access
..mdb files to find query names.
You've described more a "how" you want to do something. If you describe
what you want to accomplish, the newsgroup readers may be able to offer an
alternate approach.

What I want to accomplish is to find a series of queries that are contained
within an unknown mdb, somewhere on given hard drive. I know the names of
the queries, but not the mdb, just the hard drive it resides on. Evidently,
I can't do a string search on mdb's via Windows Explorer. There has to be
another way, outside of the hindsight of tracking.

You could consider picking up one of the "analyzer" programs available for
Access (paid ones include FMS, Inc's Total Access Analyzer, or Black
Moshannon's Speed Ferret). These should give you a way to search for a
query inside the .mdb files ... but you'd probably need to do this for each
one.
