I have a website FASSET that houses a subweb LTP. I want to set up a search
page using Frontpage 2003 for the Fasset part and also one for the LTP part.
I don't want the fasset search to include the LTP folders.
I cannot seem to be able to do this using the configuration options for
Frontpage search component nor for the Indexing Service.
I have created 2 catalogs, but do not know what directories to use. Surely I
must track the Web server in both cases?
The LTP part seems to work but not the Fasset one!

Can somebody please help, as I cannot find any material ?

Tom, I really need some help with this. I have posted the question to the
Index Server Newsgroup, but is this the right place for my questions?
However, I need some guidance as to how to set up Frontpage and the Catalogs
to ensure that the search works.

I require 2 catalogs , one for the Web part excluding the subweb and 1 for
the Subweb excluding the rest of the Web.

Can this be done ?
Where do the search pages have to reside? I currently have one in the Web
root and 1 in the subweb root.

I notice in the idq files that the catalog name is incorrect for the subweb
part! So I know something is not right.

Is there any documentation that can help?

Do I have to convert the subweb into a Virtual site ( I'm grabbing at straws
now) ?

Please help. Many thanks

Tom, One further question, how can I exclude the site controlling .htm pages
that are in the root of the Web from the search results?

Is this possible with Frontpage server extensions and the search component
added via the Web Component function of Frontpage?

Thanks

When using the FP Search Component, you can places pages in a folder with an
underbar, ex: _folder. Searches will be exluded in those folders.
