Searh Page returns false results

My Search Page returns false results. Acutally they show
hits and references to pages that once were on the site
but are now deleted. When you try to go to the page
returned in the results you get a 'not found' response.

Is there a place where these old search results are
restored that can be 'cleaned out'? Or does the website
somehow save a shadow copy of old files and pages?

Open you online site in FP and run a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks
