Secretary creating appointments

B

Brian Johnson

When a person originates a meeting in OL2002 do they have to have i
appear in their own calendar?

Example: a secretray is asked to set up meetings between a manager an
her staff based on their joint availability. Only the staff and th
manager need to see (and accept) the appointments. How does th
secretary keep the appointments out of her calendar

Give the secretary delegate rights on the manager's calendar so she can set
up the meeting from the manager's calendar.

After furious head scratching, Brian Johnson asked:

We have a similar problem.

Example: an assistant is asked to set up meetings between a manager and
their staff based on their joint availability. How does the assistant keep
the appointments out of their calendar?

Is there a workaround that allows the assistant to create a meeting from
their calendar for someone else, appear as the organizer and not have it show
on their calendar? Our assistants need to be shown as the organizer so that
other assistants in the pool know who set up the meeting.

Deleting the meeting from the assistant's calendar is not an option as
that is too time consuming.
The option "Don't send meeting to this attendee" does not seem to work
for the organizer.
Giving delegate rights and creating meetings from the manager’s calendar
is not a solution for us, because then the "manager" is shown as the
organizer.

Apparently this option was available in GroupWise.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.
