Section Break Problems (updated)

I am having trouble doing a search and replace for section breaks in my
document. When I do a find for section breaks by themselves, everything
works fine. However, I cannot do any kind of replace on the section breaks.
Word says that it finds nothing. I've looked on Microsoft's site with no
success. I'm running Win XP service Pack 2 with Office (Word) 2000. I
think my issue is caused by the fact that my document was created from an
Outlook mail merge. I'm taking my contact information and making an address
book out of it. When I do a search and replace on regular documents with
section breaks, they work fine.

Hi Christopher,

Since I can remember, doing find/replace on section breaks when the breaks are
adjacent to a table has never worked. Perhaps that's the situation you're in?

But why not do a Catalog type of mail merge, so that no section breaks are
inserted at all?
