section breaks

Micayla

I have two templates: one is a standard letter, the other
a letterhead w logo etc.
after opening doc1 from the standard letter, my user
wants to copy the letter to the letterhead. as the letter
doc contains section breaks when the letter is pasted to
the letterhead the logo etc is deleted. why is this and
is the only way to avoid it happening to delete the
section breaks?
thank you

It is difficult to imagine the problem here, as there is no need for
sections in a letter head template. You merely set a different first page
header and put the logo etc in the first page header. Pasting content from
one document to a new one created from the other template should not affect
the header section.

Hi

Have you tried protection the section where you logo
lives. If you have inserted section breaks (continious)
you can protect that section only and allow the remaining
areas of your document to be accessed in the normal way.

Hope this helps.

Thanks
Heather
