sections & page numbers

Hi,

I'm having trouble with my document. Every time I insert columns, Word
creates section breaks which in turn reset my page numbers. I've tried
adjusting this in Page Setup but nothing seems to work. Does anyone know how
to fix this?

If you are restarting page numbering in the section preceding the
multi-column section, then this will carry over into the multi-column
section. With the insertion point in the multi-column section, go to Insert
| Page Numbers and click on the Format... button. Select the "Continue from
previous section" radio button and OK, Close.
