Secton Break Nxt Pge makes EXTRA blank page

Hi there, we are trying to number pages like this 1,2,3,1,2,1,2,3

By putting in section breaks next pages we were able to acheive this but
somehow it turned out that we got

1,2,3,Blank Page,1,2,1,2,3

We can't get the blank page out. We tried section break continuous, and also
insert page no, start at.

Any ideas?

Make sure you didn't accidentally enter a Next Odd Page or Next Even Page
break.

If necessary, delete all section breaks and enter them again.

THanks for your help! Actually I found out it was a former WordPerfect
document and by pasting everything but the last para return into a new
document the problem went away. It could be that Word interpreted it as even
or odd even though it didn't say it. It actually skipped from page 3 to page
5 in the document!

Sometimes Word will convert a Next Page Break into an Odd Page Break if
there is a change in page orientation or if the following page has an odd
number. In the first case you can change the section start on the Layout tab
of Page Setup (this works better than deleting and reinserting the break),
but in the latter case Word may be stubborn in its interpretation and insist
that 1 is an odd page, especially if you've given it reason to think you're
duplexing (by using mirror margins or "Different odd and even" headers and
footers).
