Secure access 2000 db opening with access 2003

On the access 2000 pc's it works perfectly, however 2003 doesn't like it.
even opening a db without security doesn't work ...

Am I to understand that when you open a 2000 version mdb in 2003, you are
getting a message that says 'I don't like that'?

Could you be more specific please.
