Securing both the FE and BE of an Access 2007 application?

I am trying to secure both sides of an application in Access 2007 and must be
doing something wrong. If I secure the BE only and try to open FE I get the
message "Wrong Password" (or similar) yet have not been asked for a password.
If I take the password off the BE and apply it to the FE then I get asked
for a password and everything works BUT the BE is not secure. If I use the
same password for both FE and BE the same thing happens as if I just secured
the BE (Wrong Password). So how do you secure both the FE and the BE
databases in an application?

You need to delete the existing links in the frontend. Then recreate them,
and when you do you'll be prompted for the BE password. The password is
stored with the link.
You could have different passwords for the FE/BE.

Ahh there is always a trick - if you know it then it is easy!
Thanks for the help!
