securing linked tables

Hi,

I have a main database(Division) and then an other one
(Centre) with capability to pull reports from the main
database(Division).

Currently I have linked the tables and the reports run
fine.

But my concern is that the Centre can go to these linked
tables and modify them.

Is there a way to restrict access to "read only" for the
linked tables.

Any help would be appreciated.
