securing mp3s on site

I obviously have made a mistake on my husband's website. I have mp3s of his piano music (@64kbps) and I just got a letter from a mediator of a professional photography forum that his site is listed as free music for them to use on their presentations. I really had the idea that they should be buying the cds but he said they are downloading the samples from the site. I know that there are some music sites that you can't download the music from even though you can listen. How do I set that up?
I'm hearing what little money we make from the sales trickle down the drain.
please help

1. Put up short 30 sec clips
2. Look into Digital Rights Management, such as with Windows Media see:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/default.aspx
Digital Rights Management
and also
Content Production and Broadcast
Streaming Delivery
