Security Patch Problems

I have recently installed Office 2000 from my backup copy of the disks on to
a new machine running on XP. When I attempt to update with the latest
"Security Patch" I get the following message "The expected version of the
product was not found on your system".

Any suggestions please?

Are you updating from the MS Office Update Page? It will only install the
updates you need for whatever version of Office you have.
