When I push send/receive manually, the accounts detail displays that I am sending and receiving a total of 5/7 times and then jumps back to 4/4 which is what it should be. Is there any reason that Outlook would need to do it 5/7 times?

If you're going to use a brain-dead posting method like outlookforums.com
(that just scarfs the microsoft.public.outlook.* newsgroups), at least press
Enter at the end of the line because your paragraph was one big, long,
unbroken line.

What version of Outlook are you using? How many accounts are in your profile?
