Hi, as i open my database in access 2003, i have the following error:

security warning: unsafe expressions are not blocked.

Thereafter i get instructions on how to block unsafe expressions, by
downloading microsoft jet 4.0 service pack 8 or later.

So, i downladed the updates, and i still get the error.

can anybody help.

regards and thanks in advance.

Pinto,

To turn this warning off, you can go to Tools|Macro|Security menu, and
set the
security level to Low.

(If you go to Tools|Macro, and the Security menu is not there, to add the
security menu, right-click on the menu bar, choose Customize. Highlight
the menu bar tool bar. Click the Reset button. Now close Access and reopen
it. You should now see the Security option.)

Steve,
I, too am having the same issue. I do NOT have the luxury of dropping
security.

I am deploying Office2003 to my users and the same warning is displaying
every time whenever the file is not where they created it. The message wants
MS Jet 4.0 SP8 installed, however I know that I have MS04-014 patch installed
(SUS audit), which is newer than SP8.

Is there another way to get Access 2003 to recognize the newer Jet rev. and
leave us alone?
