I would like to know whether there is a way of stopping unauthorised persons
getting access to some Folders In My Documents.

Is there a way of making a use of a Password the only way of getting access
to some of the Folders, or will the "Invader" have access to the arrangement
on the Computer for the Password, so that he will be in its possession,
making the whole arrangement useless?

The only way I know is to zip the folder and then add a password. Windows
does not provide the means for password protected folders.

Yes, Windows NT does provide a method for protecting files. It is NTFS
permissions and is very strong - so if you decide to use this on your files,
please make a backup of your key and do not lose it. See Windows Help for
NTFS permissions.

After furious head scratching, Ed O'Brien asked:
