See if sent message has been read if no read message required?

In Outlook 2003, is there a way to tell if a sent message has been read if a
read receipt is not required?

No. You'd need to enable some sort of tracking before sending it - this
could be RR or web bugs. Now... if you included an image from a webserver
and you have access to it's logs, you could see if the image was loaded.
It's no guarantee that it was read or not though.

Not really. Perhaps if you use Exchange and could access their mailbox
directly, but otherwise, I don't see how.
