I don't have but don't believe it did show all files. Just tested Office
97, 2000, 2002 (XP), 2003 or 2007 and they do not show and can't be made
to show all files within the Save or Save As window. They will only show
files of the selected type.
And continuing my answer, you got a workaround answer by Dennis in your
multiposted message in microsoft.public.windows.vista.file_management. In
the file name type an asterisk * and press the enter key. All the file
types in the target folder will appear. There is no way that I am familiar
with to make it happen by default.
If you must put the same message into multiple newsgroups crosspost, don't
multipost. Of course you are using the web interface to the newsgroups and
that is the worst way to get information. Learn to use a newsreader such as
Outlook Express, Microsoft Mail, MS Live Mail or any of the other good
newsreaders. That way you will be able to see all the responses to your
messages easily and we will be able to read them in context.
