Seeking alternative to MS Wordpad for RTF files

Is there an alternative for use in XP to Microsoft's Wordpad for
creating and reading RTF format documents?

Wordpad is just a bit too light on functions for my own needs and I
don't want to launch Word each time I have a simple RTF document.
